Ultrasound

Urological ultrasound is a medical imaging technique using sound waves that is used to assess the health of the urogenital system. At Women's Healthcare Center Amsterdam (WHC), we offer urological ultrasound services to diagnose and monitor various urological conditions.

Reason for an ultrasound

Urological ultrasound can be used for various purposes:

Bladder examination

Ultrasound can be used to evaluate the bladder, including its size, shape, and the presence of any stones, tumors, or other abnormalities. It can also help evaluate urinary problems.

Kidney examination

Ultrasound can be used to visualize the kidneys to check for structural abnormalities, kidney stones, cysts, tumors, or inflammation.

Ultrasound of the lower abdomen

In women, urologic ultrasound can be used to assess the pelvic organs, including the bladder, uterus, and ovaries.

Experienced medical professionals

At WHC, we use ultrasound technology to obtain accurate images of the urogenital system. Our experienced medical professionals perform urological ultrasounds with care and precision, taking into account the individual health needs of each patient.

The results of the urological ultrasound can be used to make a diagnosis, create a treatment plan or recommend further additional testing if necessary. We strive to provide our patients with excellent care and support throughout the entire process.
